Time Crisis 5 Stage 5 Area 1 drugged soldiers 2

A group of Drugged Soldiers

The Drugged Soldiers are zombie-like enemies in Time Crisis 5.

Overview[]

The Drugged Soldiers appear to be "Normal" class drudges that have been given the unnamed pain and fear negating drug. Unfortunately for them, the drug also robbed them of their humanity and complex mental processing, causing them to mindlessly rush towards their foes when attacking even though they have Glock 17 handguns which are holstered. They are similar to the "Normal" class drudges but do not wear shirts and gray half-face masks, and do not carry equipment on their load-bearing vests. Veins are seen protruding from their skin, their skins have spots and are bald (they have buzz cut brown hair before drug intake), possibly as the side effects of the drug. Their vocal skills are largely impaired that they can only growl (or in the Japanese version, occasionally yell " () ね!" ("shi'ne!") meaning "Die!"). They are armed with serrated gladii, and are still capable of running despite their drunken-like stupor.

Endurance[]

Unlike the "Normal" class drudges, Drugged Soldiers each take 3 handgun shots or 8 machine gun shots on any part of the body (similar to "Leader" class drudges) except the head because a headshot will instantly kill each of them.

Scoring[]

Each Drugged Soldier is worth 50 points for each non-head and non-kill shot. If the first shot is a headshot, there is an additional 700 points as a one-shot kill bonus. Said bonus increases by 700 points for every consecutive headshot.

In-Game Appearance[]

Drugged Soldiers appear in Areas 1 and 3 of Stage 5. In the latter area, they appear during the second half of Wild Fang's fight. They will be incinerated if Wild Fang charges the solar generators to 100.0% and fires the solar orb, but more appear after the solar generators are reset to 0.0%.

Trivia[]

  • Drugged Soldiers are similar to the Rogan Commandos from The House of the Dead III because they are also soldiers who move forward to their foes before attacking. The differences are that while the Rogan Commandos are much faster and can move from side to side, have parts of their uniforms torn off or damaged, go down quickly if shot at any part of their body, and can execute a kick attack from their left foot in addition to using their pair of combat knives; the Drugged Soldiers move slower, more bulletproof, only go down quickly by headshots and only attack with their serrated gladii.
  • As for their attitude of rushing towards their foes, the Drugged Soldiers are similar to the Civilian Militia from Razing Storm.
